New varieties that are a cut above

Equinom has been breeding exceptional grain varieties for the food sector since 2012. These non-GMO crops deliver top-tier value to producers and consumers and outstanding performance in every field harvest.

The ingenuity behind these breakthroughs is Manna™ AI, the intelligent Equinom software that introduces unique traits to optimize breeding and enhance the value chain, end to end.

Data-driven non-GMO crop breeding

Equinom has developed an ever-expanding database containing millions of seeds and their characteristics. The Manna™ AI system leverages this proprietary knowledge to determine ideal seed-breeding combinations. With these insights, Equinom designs and breeds crops that excel as source ingredients. New Crops by Manna outperform standard ingredients and drive food innovation.

Equinom Crops:

Manna™ AI: Delivering grains with distinct characteristics

The Equinom database features extensive genomic and biochemical data on each variety, correlated with its characteristics and functionality in food. Manna AI analyzes which varieties to breed to produce crops with prime qualities. Equinom then breeds these crops to perfection.

Manna technology removes the time-consuming analyses, subjective biases and guesswork in variety development. Manna incorporates objective data points – each variety’s DNA and biochemical profiles, including taste, texture, functionality and cultivation performance.

Outperforming conventionally bred grains, which prioritize yield above nearly everything else, Crops by Manna introduce an array of qualities that provide advantages in the field, during processing and on the shelf.

Get to know the premium Equinom crops that boost profitability for stakeholders all along the supply chain and offer strong market appeal, including high nutritional values and sensory indulgence in each variety.

Optimizing value from farm to fork

Our Innovative non-GMO crops

Sesame seeds in pod

Sesame

The uniquely sweet all-in-one sesame – bred for mechanical harvest.

  • Sweet and Aromatic flavor

  • High yield

  • Non-Shattering

  • 6 registred patents

  • 5 plant breeder rights registrations

  • 35,000+ ha planted annually

Peas in pod

Peas

Yellow pea varieties that are ultra-high in protein – designed for optimal processing
  • 20% more protein than the industry average

  • 50% lower protein-processing costs

  • Protein can be fresh-milled using low-cost dry fractionation instead of  expensive isolation

  • Registered patent

  • 4 plant breeder rights registrations

Protein-rich Equinom yellow peas require fewer peas for extraction by weight and volume than traditional peas, which accelerates processing and reduces costs. With Equinom yellow peas, processors can use protein-extraction methods that are low-cost, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly, such as dry fractionation, instead of intensive and costly isolation methods.

Equinom yellow peas are Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS).

Soybeans

Soybeans

Non-GMO soybean varieties packed with protein
  • 20% more protein than average soybean varieties

  • Equinom soybeans are making their market debut in Q4 2024

  • 20% lower protein- processing costs

Equinom soybeans are loaded with protein, containing 20% more protein than the industry average. This gives Equinom soybeans a natural edge, especially in the non-GMO market. Extracting protein requires fewer soybeans by weight and volume, and processing is quicker and costs less than conventional soybeans.

Chickpeas in pod

Chickpeas

Protein-powered non-GMO varieties with lower oil content for smooth processing
  • 20% more protein than average chickpea varieties

  • Patent pending

  • 50% less oil content for improved processing

Equinom chickpeas are higher in protein and lower in oil, meaning it takes fewer grains to produce equivalent amounts of protein. Designed to be low in oil, Equinom chickpeas can be dry fractionated. This light processing method streamlines production and significantly lowers processing costs while producing cleaner protein.
