Arie leads the bioinformatics & genomics unit at Equinom, and is responsible for the development and utilization of tools and algorithms for Equinom’s computational breeding pipeline. He brings solid experience in computational genomics, obtaining his graduate degree in Bioinformatics at the Free University of Berlin and the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics in Germany, and working at biotech companies in Berlin and Potsdam.

Arie earned his PhD from the Faculty of Medicine, Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is the first author of three scientific publications in the field of Bioinformatics and population genetics, and a member of the R/Bioconductor developer community.
